SUBÜ ON THE PATH TO FULL ACCREDITATION!
YÖKAK has completed its field monitoring. SUBÜ is advancing toward full accreditation!
As part of the “Monitoring Program,” the YÖKAK Monitoring Team conducted a field visit to SUBÜ to review the improvements and steps taken over the past two years. Speaking after the visit, SUBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık noted the positive feedback received from the Monitoring Team, stating that the university is moving forward on the path to full accreditation.
The “Monitoring Program” visit to Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) was carried out by the Monitoring Team appointed by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK). The team consisted of Prof. Dr. Süheyda Atalay from Ege University Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Adem Başıbüyük from Erzincan Binali Yıldırım University Faculty of Science and Letters, Prof. Dr. İrfan Ersin Akıncı from Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University Faculty of Agriculture, and student evaluator Asya Özdemir from Kocaeli University. The team held meetings and conducted inspections throughout the day.
SUBÜ, which also passed the YÖKAK external evaluation in 2021, discussed the sustainability of its strengths and the improvements made during the intervening period. The Monitoring Team held separate meetings with Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık, members of the Quality Commission, Senate members, academics, and students. During these discussions, they consulted on the quality processes implemented at SUBÜ and plans for future improvements. The Monitoring Team will report the detailed results of the field visit and Monitoring Program to YÖKAK in a comprehensive “Monitoring Report.”
A BIG STEP FORWARD
Commenting on the successful Monitoring Program, SUBÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Sarıbıyık said:
“Since the establishment of our university, we have placed great importance on quality processes and always strive for improvement. We are extremely pleased that the Monitoring Team praised the progress and steps we have taken over the past two years, wished us success on the path to institutional accreditation, and stated that we have accomplished even more than what was reported. We believe we have taken a major step forward toward our goal of full accreditation. I sincerely thank my colleagues who contributed to this process and the Monitoring Team for their thorough review of our university.”
