The Metropolitan Municipality shared all the details about the new transportation system in the Yenikent region with the public in bullet points. It was stated that the date of implementation would be announced shortly.
Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality announced all the details regarding the changes to be made in the public transportation system in the Yenikent region.
The detailed information shared by the Transportation Department regarding the changes is as follows:
- WHAT IS THIS SYSTEM?
-The entire public transportation system in the Yenikent region has been integrated into the Metrobus Line Main Trunk System.
- The existing routes of 122 vehicles, consisting of minibuses, municipal buses, and private public buses transporting passengers from the city center to the Yenikent region, have been revised.
- Internal routes have been created for Karaman, Evrenköy, Camili, Korucuk, and Aşırlar, and the routes of these lines to the city center have been canceled and converted to intra-neighborhood passenger transportation.
- WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THIS SYSTEM?
- With the new system, travel times between Yenikent and the city center, which currently range from a minimum of 45 to a maximum of 60 minutes, will be reduced to 25-30 minutes, saving time.
- Currently, 122 vehicles, including 90 minibuses, 27 municipal buses, and 5 private public buses, operate an average of 2,000 trips daily. The new system will eliminate the traffic burden created by these vehicles and provide relief.
- Passenger congestion occurring at certain times under the current system will be alleviated with the new system.
- WHICH ROUTES HAVE BEEN REVISED OR CANCELED?

Revised private public bus routes:

* The revised minibuses will serve as part of the Aşırlar Private Public Bus and Korucuk Minibus Branch.
* The revised Evrenköy-Karapınar Route will not operate in the city center; it will serve as a neighborhood feeder route, transporting passengers to the nearest Metrobus Route.
* There have been no changes to the blue minibus inner route operating in the Karaman-Camili-Korucuk neighborhoods.
* Karaman Minibuses, which depart from the Unkapanı area and serve the YENİKENT area, will continue their services between Unkapanı and Yazlık intersection under the new arrangement. With this arrangement, metrobus connections will be provided for citizens along the route.
* In addition, minibuses providing public transportation services from the Unkapanı area to Dağdibi will continue their current services.
- HOW WILL PASSENGERS USING THESE ROUTES BE TRANSPORTED?
- Passengers from canceled or revised routes will be transported to the Metrobus Line via the newly created “Neighborhood Feeder Routes.”
- Passengers wishing to reach Yenikent from the city center and Campus Area will be transported easily, safely, and without traffic to the “Neighborhood Feeder Line” stop via the “M1 and M2 – Two Different Metrobus Lines.”
- WHAT WILL THE FEEDER ROUTE ROUTES BE LIKE?
* Karaman Feeder Routes (Internal Routes)
Three different routes have been determined for the Metrobüs Line departing from Karaman Station.
Karaman 1 (Red Line Route): Between İkizce Bridge, Karaman Elementary School, Karaman Football Field, Karaman State Hospital, Karaman Accessible Park, 11th Street, and Karaman Metrobus Station.
Karaman 2 (Blue Route): Between İkizce Bridge, Karaman Primary School, 2nd Street, Children's Rights Street, Karaman Carpet Field, Treatment Plant, and Karaman Metrobus Station.
Karaman 3 (Green Route): Between İkizce Bridge, Karaman Primary School, 2nd Street, 17 August Mosque, 1st Street, Treatment Plant, and Karaman Metrobus Station
* Camili Feeder Lines (Internal Lines)
Three different routes have been determined for the Metrobus Line departing from Camili (Governor's Office) Station.
Camili 1 (Blue Route): Between Selçukbey Elementary School, Camili 1 Family Health Center, 117th Street, Yenikent Sports Hall, Military Branch, Sunflower Bicycle Valley, Sheikh Edebali Mosque, Camili 2 traffic lights, and Camili (Governor's Office) Metrobus Station.
Camili 2 (Green Line Route): Between Selçukbey Elementary School, 14th Street, Yunus Emre Anatolian High School, Yenikent Mosque, Cemil Meriç Social Sciences High School, New Courthouse Building, and Camili (Governor's Office) Metrobus Station.
Camili 3 (Yellow Line Route): Camili Village, Şükür Mosque, Yenikent Kız Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, İmam-ı Azam Mosque, Adapazarı Special Education Kindergarten, Osmanbey Primary School, MAKİF Anatolian Vocational High School, Şeyh Edebali Mosque, Camili 2 traffic lights, and Camili (Governor's Office) Metrobus Station.
* Korucuk Feeder Lines (Internal Lines)
Three different routes have been determined for the Metrobus Line departing from Korucuk Hospital Station.
Korucuk 1 (Green Line Route): Korucuk Park, Toki C Blocks, Dorukkent 1739 and 1745 ADA, Korucuk Covered Market, Baytur Korukent Site, Vakıfkent Toki Elementary School, İdealkent, Ulubey intersection, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobus Station
Korucuk 2 (Blue Line Route): Korucuk Village Center, Arif Nihat Asya Middle School, Korucuk Health Center, Korucuk Street, Numan Yazıcı Mosque, Oğuz Ata Street, Toki Korucuk Primary School, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobus Station
Korucuk 1 (Orange Line): Between Oğuz Ata Street, Korucuk Covered Market, Dorukkent Mosque, Korucuk 4th Stage, Vakıfkent Toki Primary School, İdealkent, Ulubey Intersection, and Korucuk Hospital Metrobus Station
