Dear Students,
Course selection for the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year will take place on September 22-23-24, 2025. Course selection is mandatory for all students and will be completed through BYS (bys.subu.edu.tr) with advisor approval.
Points to Consider During Course Selection
I. Reviewing the Course Plan
- Before selecting courses, students should review the 8-semester course plans for their respective departments under the Faculty of Applied Sciences at ebs.bys.subu.edu.tr.
II. ECTS Rule
- Students have a total of 30 ECTS credits of courses in their current semester.
- Students with courses from previous semesters can select up to 30 ECTS credits + 2 courses or up to 40 ECTS credits.
- Students with courses from previous semesters should first select courses from the previous semester, then courses from their current semester.
III. Updates to the Course Program
- Updates have been made to the 8-semester plan for this semester.
- Some courses have been removed and new courses have been added in their place.
- Students who failed the removed courses are required to take the course(s) added in place of the course(s) they failed.
IV. For First-Year Students
- All courses except Academic Studies I are mandatory in the first semester.
- Students must register for all mandatory courses.
- If the Academic Studies I course is selected:
* SUBÜ Talks, held every Wednesday at 2:00 PM, will be followed on YouTube, and students will then take an exam.
* Students who successfully complete the Academic Studies I course
V. For 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Students
- Course selections must be made in accordance with the 8-semester plan.
- Students must select courses totaling a maximum of 30 ECTS + 2 courses or a maximum of 40 ECTS.
VI. For College Entrance Students
- College entrance students do not have the option to register through the system.
- These students will register in person at the faculty between September 29 and October 3, 2025, using the course selection form attached.
Important Notes
- Course selection must be completed with the advisor's approval.
- Courses that have closed for elective selection will be announced on September 25, 2025.
- The system will be open for re-selection of elective courses on September 26-27-28, 2025.
- Between September 29 and October 3, 2025, only students with valid excuses (illness, death of a first-degree relative, etc.) will be able to register for courses. The excuse must be proven with official documentation.
