Project Writing Training for Our Faculty Members Organized by the TTO

The Technology Transfer Office (TTO) of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) organized a project writing training for the faculty members of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The training covered all aspects of project writing.

The program, titled “Practical Project Writing Training for the 3005 – Research Projects Supporting Innovative Solutions in Social and Human Sciences Program,” was divided into several sessions. In the first session, Prof. Dr. Adnan Derdiyok from the Faculty of Technology discussed the importance of innovative approaches under the topic “Overview of Scientific Research Projects and Scientific Approach.” He also highlighted the growing focus of TÜBİTAK’s Research Support Programs on social sciences and the increasing number of projects supported in this field.

In the second session, Sakarya University faculty members Prof. Dr. Mehmet Barış Horzum and Assoc. Dr. Avni Önder Hanedar shared their experiences under the topic “TÜBİTAK 3005 Project Experience Sharing and Filling the Application Form.” Prof. Dr. Horzum provided examples from his TÜBİTAK 3005 project, discussing sections such as project summary, objectives, national gains and innovative aspects, methodology and project management, risk, and wider impact, offering insights into new approaches. Assoc. Dr. Hanedar presented examples from his own TÜBİTAK 3005 project and other TÜBİTAK-supported projects, addressing key points to consider during the design, writing, and implementation stages of a project.

In the final session, participating faculty members’ project ideas were examined and worked on practically, allowing hands-on application of the training content.
