Our Faculty of Applied Sciences Stands Out with High Employment Rates

At our faculty, where the +1 Education Model is implemented, 7 out of the last 8 graduates secured employment within the first 3 months after graduation.

Students and graduates of Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) Faculty of Applied Sciences are highly employable. Under the +1 Education Model, applied in every department of SUBÜ and sending students to full-time work for one semester, 25 out of 36 Applied Sciences Faculty students who completed workplace training during the 2022-2023 academic year received job offers from the companies where they interned. Additionally, in the 2021-2022 academic year, 7 out of every 8 graduates of the Applied Sciences Faculty began working in positions related to their fields within 3 months after graduation.

High Demand from the Business World

Assoc. Dr. Sinan Esen, Vice Dean of SUBÜ Faculty of Applied Sciences, noted that employment rates in social science faculties are generally low before and immediately after graduation. He stated, “However, the +1 Education Model developed and successfully implemented by our university makes a difference. We effectively use this model in our faculty. Our experienced academic staff trains qualified students both in theory and practice. We have strong collaborations with the business world. The export rates of Sakarya and surrounding cities are high, and our departments mainly focus on international trade. There is significant demand from the business world. Last academic year, for the first time, we signed a protocol with the Sakarya Machinery Manufacturers Association (SAMİB) guaranteeing jobs for our graduates under certain conditions. We will continue to work tirelessly to contribute to our city and country with qualified graduates.”
