At the end of the 2025–2026 Academic Year Fall Semester, students who meet the Single Course Exam application requirements listed below are required to submit their applications via the BYS system by 16 February 2026.
The Single Course Exams will be held on Wednesday, 18 February.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
-
A single course exam right is granted, on the dates specified in the academic calendar, to students who have fulfilled the attendance requirements for all courses required for graduation (excluding internship) and who have only one remaining course with a grade of FF, FD, or GR.
-
Students who have received passing grades in all courses except the internship but who cannot graduate due to not meeting the required minimum cumulative GPA of 2.00 are granted the right to take a single course exam, on the dates specified in the academic calendar, for one course of their choice.
-
Students who would not be able to raise their cumulative GPA to 2.00 even if they received the highest grade (AA) in the single course exam are not granted the right to take the exam.
-
No single course exam right is granted for courses requiring practical application, such as graduation projects, design courses, internships, or workplace-based vocational training.
-
Students must apply to the academic units in which they are enrolled by the application deadline specified in the academic calendar.
-
If a student fails the single course exam, they may, within the maximum period of study, choose to retake the course in the semester in which it is offered or take the single course exams held at the end of subsequent semesters.
-
In the evaluation of success for the single course exam, midterm or in-semester studies are not taken into account. To pass the exam, a minimum grade of DD must be obtained.
